Area Code 416

I keep receiving calls from this number, which I do not answer. I know it must be a telemarketer because they do not leave a message and call at random hours (ie. 7am and then again at 3pm, then 8pm). I would like them to remove my number from their list and not call me again.

Technically a bunch of you are right. It's a group of hackers trying to extract personal info from you. The reason you can't figure out who it is is because they are spoofing their phone numbers. So if you trace it it appears to be a legit call or if you call the number back no one answers. Sometimes they don't speak to you because they are probably placing hundreds of calls at the same time. Whoever answers first gets one of the hackers. If you answer but don't hear anything, they mark you on a list and call you later. If you don't answer then they will typically keep calling anyway. The best way to deal with them is to immediately tell them that you know all about phone and ip address spoofing and don't call me again if you don't want your actual physical location posted all over the Internet. Everytime I do this they quit calling.
