My ten year old son, nine at the time, was an avid Xbox live player. This is where any person with a headset and an Xbox 360 can communicate with each other whilst playing a game. My son was playing a skateboarding game when this 'boy' started talking to him. They chatted for the next week, the boy only saying that his name was Timmy and he was 13 years old. My 12 year old daughter had repeatedly warned him about the dangers of adults posing as children. My son did not listen and willingly gave out his cell phone number to the boy without confronting me or his elder sister. Soon, my daughter found many texts from a different area code on his phone. She told me that she had thought it was the boy he had been talking to. Well, she was right. I took away his headset and a lecture and he seemed genuinely sorry, because the boy had been harassing him about getting on Xbox live and texting him and so on. Tonight, my daughter decided to randomly check his phone with my permission, and found a text from the same person. All it had said was 'hey do u still have xbox live this is an old friend.' Luckily, my son must have not seen it because he hadn't replied. My daughter and I were very alarmed, and told she me to call the number. I did, and an adult man answered the phone. I politely asked if he had sent a text to my son asking about Xbox live and he abruptly hung up the phone. I traced his phone number online as a cellular phone from Decatur, Illinois. We have no further information, and any would be helpful. Monitor your children, anything can happen.

I keep getting calls from phone # 2174990966 at all hours of the night and day. The person hangs up when I answer. This HAS TO STOP! As far as I know the persons name is either Emanuel or Jimmy.
